ENVIRONMENTAL EXTENSION SERVICE

  • A Brownfields Coordinator on-call;
  • Strategic information on land reuse models;
  • Identification of relevant grants and financing options;
  • A federal, state and local intergovernmental liaison; and/or
  • Coordination for environmental contractors and related services


GAP FINANCING SERVICES

Environmental Due Diligence Grants

  • A competitive program that provides environmental services to grant recipients
  • CBF engages and coordinates environmental consultants on behalf of a
    community, for either publicly- or privately-owned sites, to complete environmental
    assessments.
  • Single sites or area-wide assessments for main streets, industrial districts, business
    parks, or other geographic areas can be addressed.
  • CBF will facilitate educational forums in that community as appropriate to the
    situation.

The Colorado Brownfields Revolving Loan Fund (CBRLF) Assistance

  • CBF has been engaged by the CBRLF to provide assistance to parties interested in
    applying for cleanup loans to address an identified environmental condition.

Grant Resources

  • CBF can assist communities with grant proposals and grant program administration.

Enterprise Zone Tax Credits

  • As an approved Colorado Enterprise Zone Contribution Project, CBF can provide
    tax credits for property and cash donations toward cleanup projects.


INFORMATION SERVICES

Education, Workshops & Conferences

  • CBF brings land use and environmental education to communities; ranging from
    formal workshops to informal meetings. CBF also hosts an annual statewide
    conference.

Speaker's Bureau

  • Members of the CBF Board are available to present and discuss various
    brownfields related topics.  Speakers are available for both beginner and expert
    topics.  Public and private meetings are eligible.  Please contact Shirley Esher for
    additional information or to engage a speaker.

Special Research Projects

  • The CBF conducts policy and site-specific research such as property inventories,
    reuse analysis, and coordinate economic and fiscal impact studies.

Resource Directory and Library

  • A directory of environmental resources including financing sources, environmental
    engineers,attorneys, and related services
  • CBF also maintains a growing on-line library of self-help resources and links.


PROPERTY TRANSFER ASSISTANCE SERVICES

Title Transfer

  • The Colorado Brownfields Foundation may take title to properties for the purpose of
    mitigating environmental issues and delivering clean property for reuse.
